Indulgent Strawberry Chocolate Shell Cake

A beautiful cake with rich chocolate layers and a glossy strawberry chocolate shell, perfect for celebrations.

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Boiling Water
  • 2 cups Fresh Strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 8 ounces Dark Chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix together your dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients.
  5. Add the boiling water slowly to the batter.
  6. Bake the cake in greased pans for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Cool the cakes for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
  8. Prepare the strawberry filling by tossing chopped strawberries with lemon juice.
  9. Create the chocolate shell by melting dark chocolate and coconut oil.
  10. Assemble your cake by layering and pouring the chocolate shell over.

Serve with fresh strawberries or whipped cream for an extra touch.
