  • 1/2 cup streusel topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine the wet ingredients: mix the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Incorporate the blueberries into the wet mixture carefully.
  5. Combine the wet and dry mixtures, folding gently.
  6. Prepare the cream cheese filling by mixing cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla.
  7. Fill muffin tins with batter, add cream cheese filling, and top with more batter.
  8. Add streusel topping if desired.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a lighter alternative, consider using ricotta cheese. Store in an airtight container.
