Maple Glazed Meatloaf

A modern twist on the classic comfort food, this Maple Glazed Meatloaf is packed with flavor and topped with a sticky maple glaze that brings everyone to the table.

  • 2 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (parsley or thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it.
  3. Mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs in a large bowl.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared loaf pan.
  5. Create the maple glaze by mixing ketchup and maple syrup, then pour half over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Brush the remaining glaze over the top for the last 10 minutes of baking.
  8. Rest the meatloaf for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken. Leftovers taste great as sandwiches!
