Easy Strawberry Napoleon

A visually stunning and simple dessert featuring layers of flaky puff pastry, sweetened cream cheese, and fresh strawberries.

  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out your puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut into rectangles.
  3. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush over each pastry rectangle.
  4. Bake the pastry on a lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes, until golden.
  5. Cool the baked pastry on a wire rack completely.
  6. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  7. Slice the strawberries into thin pieces.
  8. Assemble the layers with cream cheese mixture and strawberries between the pastry rectangles.
  9. Chill the assembled Napoleons in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  10. Serve on a plate, optionally drizzled with chocolate or raspberry sauce.

Notes

For serving, add fresh mint as garnish. You can modify the filling with different berries or flavors according to your taste.
