Monster Mac and Cheese

A Halloween-inspired mac and cheese dish that’s colorful, fun, and perfect for spooky gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Kraft mac and cheese
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Green food coloring
  • Candy eyeballs

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta: Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni from your Kraft box and cook according to the package instructions (usually about 7-8 minutes).
  2. Prepare the cheese sauce: While the pasta is cooking, in a separate saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the cheese powder from the Kraft box until smooth.
  3. Color it green: Add a few drops of green food coloring to the cheese sauce. Stir until you reach your desired monster hue.
  4. Combine: Once your macaroni is cooked, drain it and return it to the pot. Pour the green cheese mixture over the pasta and stir until every piece is coated.
  5. Monster assembly: Serve the mac and cheese hot in bowls and scatter the candy eyeballs generously over the top.
