World’s Best Pumpkin Bread

This warm loaf is bursting with fall flavors like cinnamon, rich pumpkin, and a hint of sweetness, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your loaf pan by greasing it with oil or cooking spray.
  3. Mix your dry ingredients in a large bowl, whisking flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves until well blended.
  4. Combine the sugars and wet ingredients in another bowl, whisking granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, water, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Mix it all together by gradually folding the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Add in the nuts (if using) and gently fold them into the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth out the top.
  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool the bread for about 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm with butter, honey, or even cream cheese frosting for a delicious twist. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
