Beef Taco Casserole

A hearty and cheesy casserole that combines the flavors of tacos in a comforting dish, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 8 Soft Tortillas (flour or corn)
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar and Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 1 cup Salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, and taco seasoning. Cook until browned, about 7-10 minutes.
  3. Layer tortillas in a baking dish to cover the base.
  4. Add half of the cooked beef over the tortillas, followed by a drizzle of salsa.
  5. Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese over the beef and salsa.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients, finishing with tortillas and cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Cool for 5-10 minutes before cutting and serving.

Notes

Top with sour cream, fresh cilantro, and lime for serving. Additional toppings like guacamole and tortilla chips enhance the experience!
