Turkey Chili Bowl

A hearty and soul-warming turkey chili bowl, perfect for cozy nights and sharing with loved ones.

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 cups beans (black, kidney, or pinto)
  • 28 ounces diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 2 cups broth (vegetable or chicken)
  • Olive oil for sautéing
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the aromatics in olive oil over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Brown the turkey, breaking it apart until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the bell peppers and spices, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Combine the beans and tomatoes, stirring until mixed.
  5. Pour in the broth, bringing to a gentle simmer and cover for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute ground turkey with diced mushrooms and zucchini. Chili tastes better the next day, and leftovers can be frozen for up to 3 months.
