Halloween Chocolate Chip Cookies

A spooktacular treat for Halloween, these chocolate chip cookies are loaded with sweetness, festive sprinkles, and a deliciously gooey center.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (67 g)
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar (100 g)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled for 186g)
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/23/4 cup Halloween sprinkles
  • Candy eyes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the egg and mix well until fully incorporated.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Mix the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and Halloween sprinkles.
  7. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Decorate with extra sprinkles and optional candy eyes.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

These cookies can be frozen before baking. Store in an airtight container with a slice of bread to keep them soft.
